About Paul Clark

Dr Paul Clark studied medicine at the University of Queensland, graduating with First Class Honours. Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, with advanced training undertaken in Brisbane at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. He undertook post-fellowship training at Duke University Medical Centre in North Carolina, USA.

Dr Clark consults in general gastroenterology and hepatology and is fully accredited in upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. Dr Clark has a sub-speciality interest in the diagnosis and management of liver disease, including viral hepatitis and autoimmune diseases, and liver fibrosis evaluation.

Paul has a part-time appointment as a Staff Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane and is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland School of Medicine. He has a part-time NHMRC Health Practitioner Research Fellowship at the Cancer Control Unit at Berghofer-QIMR Medical Research Institute. He has authored over 35 book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, and presented at national and international gastroenterology conferences.

Dr Clark sees private patients at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.
