| Dr Prath Nakka is a specialist Breast and Endocrine Surgeon with expertise in breast cancer, benign breast disease, oncoplastic breast surgery, breast reconstruction, thyroid surgery and parathyroid surgery. She also manages selected general surgical conditions, including skin cancer surgery.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and undertook further subspecialty Oncoplastic Breast and Endocrine Surgery training across major units in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. She also holds a Master of Surgery in Breast Surgery from the University of Sydney, with research focused on breast reconstruction after prophylactic mastectomy. Prath also works as a Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at Redland Hospital and QEII Hospital. She was appointed as the Director of Surgery at Redland Hospital in 2021 and contributed to surgical governance, workforce and service development and the establishment of intensive care capability at Redland Hospital.
